So, to go along with our mind breakingly bad signage, I was thinking perhaps, in the vein of a Caravan, we could have several empty wooden crates around camp. Stencil'd onto each could be things like "Feathers", "Glitter", "Floating Lanterns" etc.
I haven't found a cheap source of wooden crates yet. I have an old Shredded wheat crate I can sand a bit and re-stencil though. So thats one.

Pallets. Disassembled and nailed back together a bit more tightly make passable "stage setting" crates.

When I think of Caravansaries I think of a Morrocan type feel also.. Camels, morrocan lanterns, fabric and floor pillows... I have fabric galore and morrocan lanterns that I can bring!

I have four large floor pillows and I can sew some satin/shimmery covers for them and trim them with some metallic accents. I can also bring some battery operated LED lights and lanterns to hang.

Melissa, be careful of a lot of the metallic threads, they tend to fray unless you have a REALLY good serger to seal off the edges and stop the sometimes abundant fraying, and hence mooping. I'm definitely going to attempt to bring as many sources of light as I can fit, but as seems to be my constant excuse, I don't yet know how many that will be.

Good call, I definitely don't wanna be that girl that spends more time cleaning up her own moop than enjoying the surroundings. I've got some time to experiment before august so I'll look into ways to prevent fraying and if I can't perfect it I will use another method. Thanks for the heads up.
