Hi,
I'm Steve, a wannabe Burner out of Buffalo NY. I'm planning on starting a Caravan out of Buffalo NY, and wanted to make sure there'd be a camp for me when I got to BM, even if I needed to make it myself.
In the default world, I'm a Jeweler, a Television producer, and a dabbler in just about everything from programming to art. I'm also an avid gamer(Board/Card/Role-Playing).
Can't wait to meet everyone on the Playa.

How's it everyone, Schrada here and I'm also a Burning Man wanna-be virgin. I've heard about it 4 years but have decided 2014 is my year 2 go. I live in Utica,NY & the only thing that is a definite right now.....is me @ Burning Man. I don't know how I'm getting there or if I will b in a camp or will b on the playa alone. I've looked into flying 2 Reno or San Fran. But I would really love 2 do the drive cross country if I had my choice. I hope to meet fellow Burners from the area & maybe talk/plan anything & everything. Peace )*(..Schrada

That's great news to hear!! I really would love 2 do the drive 2 BM. I will pitch in 4 all expenses, I have a license so I can & would do alot of driving and I really want to get 2 BM early 2 help set up, meet people and do WHATEVER needs 2 get done. I'm not exactly an artist-type, but I would love 2 help out anyone who may need any assistance. Like I said I will pay my way, I am trying to fiqure out "my gifts" I want to start working on something meaningful, yet cool 2 gift all the awesome people I know I'm going 2 meet. I' think I have read almost every post on eplaya, but I know reading & actually about BM, is in no way like actually being there 4 the experience. Do you plan on staying there for the whole thing??? I plan on being there 4 set-up, tear-down and everything in between!! I'm just so excited about the whole thing. It just takes Soooo much planning, but the planning part is fun 2!!! Do u have your Playa jacket yet?? I'm just learning how 2 sew,... So I working on alot of stuff (trial & error type thing) thanks again 4 starting this site, its a great idea. I'm hoping to meet & exchange info with anyone. And I would rather pitch in 4 gas, tolls, whatever other expense there are in order 2 do the cross-country drive, rather than fly in. I'm a very " handy " guy, can & will do anything..i'm hoping we get alot of. Burners or people with some expericce 4 a little info/ ideas. I know u want the camp 2 b all "birgins" but I think you should consider any and all typed of Burners!! Keep up the great work & please share any & all of your thoughts, you r very thoughtful & you seem quite creative so I always look forward to all of your emails/posts. Pplease keep me in mind if you find people willing to do the drive...I look forward to paying my way 4 ANY expenses, and like I said I really love driving!! I would b a great co-pilot/pilot to & from Black Rock City!!! Looking forward 2 hearing/reading anything u post, and if u have a question of if there's anything you want 2 know about me feel free 2 ask!! Peace.......)*(..Schrada

Buenos dias my fellow Burner newbies! My names Monica, I'm a 21 year old student/event producer/wedding planner/blogger/personal stylist Yup, I stay busy. When I'm not working/studying (ripping my hair out) I'm gaming, writing, sleeping, shopping, eating, or traveling. I was planning on going to Burning Man 2013, but ended up up physically and mentally sick and forced to cancel everything from March forward for 7 months. Boo, but now I'm back into the swing and planning the great journey to watch The Man burn in 2014. I'm currently in Phoenix,AZ; with plans to move to San Francisco in January (we shall see; only if I find a house) If no move, I will be driving out to BRC from here. So, onward Camp Birgin! Excited to hear from you

Hello everybody! My name is Jasmine, I am an extremely shy, introverted, and somewhat sheltered 21 year old college student living in Elk Grove Ca. which is about 15 minutes away from Sacramento. I am also a fellow BM virgin wanting to finally experience life on the playa. 2014 shall be the year! I love the idea of self reliance, self expression, and putting myself in a position/situation where I can hopefully break away from my shy introverted sheltered ways and meet fellow virgins to share this first time experience with. I am extremely happy I found this group and I can not wait to meet you all!

When I'm not working/studying (ripping my hair out) I'm gaming, writing, sleeping, shopping, eating, or traveling. Monica, It's great to have you. My sister lives out in San Fran, and it's EXPENSIVE. For what I pay out here in Buffalo NY for a house, she'd be unable to rent a one room apartment. Good luck with the move. Hello everybody! My name is Jasmine, I am an extremely shy, introverted, and somewhat sheltered 21 year old college student living in Elk Grove Ca. Jasmine, Great to see you joining us here. Don't worry about being shy, everyone is going to be new to things when it comes to burning man, so quite a few of us will be hesitant. Just walk up, say hi, and see what happens next. I'm sure you'll break past any shyness when you figure out that people aren't trying to judge you(at least not as much as in the default world, I hope.) -------------- To all the new burners, let me know if there's anything I can do to help make your burn or your burn prep better. I've been neck deep in this stuff for a month or two, and I'm getting a pretty good feel for what's going on, and what needs to happen yet. Hope to see you both at the burn.

Greetings from Ohio. Im also a virgin burner planning to attend in 2014. Much like so many others I was wondering if there would be a camp for me once I finally made it to the playa. This is a great idea and really look forward to helping make this work.
I live in Middlefield, Ohio. Its about 40 minutes ssouth of Cleveland. I run a taxi service for the Amish community and have a large van so i plan on driving out west next year. I'm hoping to see the Pacific Ocean while I'm out there.I'd be interested in any caravan that's coming through my area and also picking up a passenger or two. So far I'm going alone as all of my friends are lame. I could also take a trailer if needed.
Im super excited for this and looking forward to an epic hippy adventure across the country.

It's great to have you in our little community. Here's hoping you both find what you want and more importantly, what you need, at burning man.

Hey Guys,
Glad you could make it. I've already had my first ride setback (My friends probably WONT be going now, but hey, there's still plenty of time to figure things out.), but I'm still pushing forward.
Theus, I hope you contribute some ideas to the planning threads, and post some of your own plans. I'd love to see more people brainstorming, and the more excited people are, the better their ideas tend to be*.
*Better in quantity at least

I got ur back. If you could make it to CLE...that would be cool. If not, driving a few hours more is the least I could do to say thanks for organizing Birgin Camp and providing some much needed ideas and inspiration. If there is one thing I have learned about Burning Man its to not get discouraged and trust that things will work out for better or worse.
